THE ODD BALL!!!!!

It's Second Life's greatest celebrity, greatest love story, and most amazing light show, all in one!

In 2007, NBC came into Second Life looking for our world's most talented avatar -- and found Tuna Oddfellow, magician Fish Fishman IRL.  That summer, Tuna appeared in avatar form on two episodes of NBC's hit show, America's Got Talent.

Since then, he's only gotten better.

Dancoyote Antonelli (renowned artist DC Spensley IRL) says:  "a mighty spectacle!", "hypnotic!"  Betinna Tizzy says:   "People like Tuna Oddfellow and Shava Suntzu who make creations such as this one... are truly transforming the future. In a very short while, the [real] world will be coming in [Second Life] to see the new world you have forged... You are our sherpas... YOU are leading the world by the nose. Creative GIANTS, you are!"

Others say:  "I haven't had this kind of sensory overload since I saw the Blue Man Group."  "This is Timothy Leary's afterlife." "Who knew enlightenment could be this entertaining?" -- and more.

The Odd Ball is an amazing light show presented spanning a 256 meter sphere full of brilliant, swirling color.  Tuna and his RL and SL love, Shava Suntzu (Shava Nerad in RL -- you can see the machinima of their SL wedding at http://www.businessweek.com/technology/content/feb2008/tc20080214_131079.htm) reach through the screen and blow avatar's typist's minds twice a week at their Odd Ball dance parties.

In early 2008, Tuna and Shava realized they had found something special and scientifically intriguing, through Tuna's art.  They had discovered a way to change human brainwaves through graphics presented in Second Life.

Theta wave therapy has been lauded for addiction and relaxation therapy by the US Veterans Administration since studies they conducted in the 60s.  But how do you deliver this to people in withdrawal?  Mindfulness meditation -- perhaps the oldest means known to train up theta activity -- is hard to teach to people who are tense already.  Brain machines and binaural beats are boring.  Neurofeedback therapy is tedious and expensive, and requires professional assistance.

But the Odd Ball is like being in a rave light show in three dimensions.  A little easier to take!

Nothing we can tell you can really convey the Odd Ball -- like a laser light show, it can't be filmed or described.  You have to be there.  But on Friday night at SLCC, you can see the Odd Ball from the inside, the outside, or from behind the curtain!

From 8pm to after midnight, as Shava throws the show on the ballroom screen in high definition with her space navigator, Tuna will be running the show from the ballroom floor on over a dozen huds on two computers, and they invite all of you to participate in Second Life, on the dance floor, and even peeking over Tuna's shoulder.

To the streams of three talented DJs  including Jamie Ondeko , Tuna and Shava will be spinning you up higher than the tunes.

For more information on Oddfellow Studios, Tuna, and Shava check out http://oddfellowstudios.com, search for "Tuna Oddfellow" online, or come to Research Center [link above] for the Odd Ball any Sunday 11am pacific time or Monday 7pm pacific time.  Check out Tuna's line of designer clothing based on his original art at his store at Research Center, or textured on real Keds sneakers, skateboards, mouse pads and more at http://zazzle.com/tunaoddfellow

There is no charge at the door for Convention Attendees.  Not attending this year’s SLCC but want to join us, or invite friends that are local?  We have set up a special $15 ticket for this event if you are not attending the convention.  If you do not have your convention ID on there will be a $20 charge at the door.
